Sports Highlights: Giants and Steelers Likely to Win It All

December 22, 2008

Watching the Giants play really hit home a point.  The Giants or the Steelers have the formula to win it all.  They are gritty.  They aren’t pretty.  They are teams that are usually find themselves down at the half and spend the second half game after game clawing their way back to the win.  They are winners.

Both teams rely heavily on their defense to put them in good positions.  Eli Manning and Ben Roethlisberger will not beat you from the air most games.  I do have to note in fact that they are incredibly clutch and seem to come up with the right play when it matters regardless of if they have thrown several interceptions throughout the game.  Neverthless, both teams have great defenses that can slice through any NFL offense immaginable.  They seem to know how to get the job done.

This was impressed upon me even more as I was watching the Giants vs Panthers game this evening.  At the 4th quarter the score was 21-13.  The Giants inched their way back.   The Steelers have done the same thing multiple times.

Watch out for these teams.  One of them will be at the big show.
